General TOC expectations
The primary objective of TOC (Tower Operating Centre) is monitoring the alarms and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) of infrastructure of cell sites.The tower operating centre is based on two locations to achieve the redundancy. The main TOC is responsible for the controlling of 8 circles in the north of India and is be located in the NCR region and the second TOC, responsible for the controlling of 8 circles in the south of India is located in Chennai. Both the North and the South TOC are capable to operate all 16 circles in case of disaster recovery.
The Tower Operation Centre is conceptually designed for the controlling of more than 250,000 sites.The Tower Operation Centre monitors, controls and analyzes all tower operation activities and processes. A few of these are as below.
• SLA monitoring and controlling on INDUS responsibility on infrastructure and site availability
• SLA monitoring and controlling of all INDUS OME and SME vendors
• Generation of MIS reports for KPI monitoring
• Monitoring of all infrastructure alarms
• Generation of event activity input for a trouble ticket system
• Monitoring of all infrastructure performance data
• Performance monitoring of work force management
The above mentioned monitoring and controlling targets generate performance at regular/predefined interval on 24X7 basis.
Principal of TOC (Tower Operating Centre) working (O & M Activity)
TOC (Tower Operation Centre) is the backbone for the operations of the Indus infrastructure and would help to achieve the KPIs and SLAs being targeted and committed to the sharing partners.
The Tower Operation centre is capable of handling all the specified passive infrastructure alarms and delivers the MIS to monitor the performance and KPIS of our infrastructure and the vendors involved in the various activities of the operations.
