B S Shantharaju
Chief Executive Officer, Indus Towers

Mr. B S Shantharaju is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Indus Towers since June 2009. Though qualified accountant and MBA, he has rich general management experience in leadership positions for reputed companies. Prior to his current assignment he has worked with Delhi International Airports (P) Limited as the Chief Executive Officer after the airport was privatized. In this capacity, he has successfully led the transformation of airport. He was the Managing Director for Gujarat Gas Company Limited, India’s largest city gas distribution company, majority owned by UK Hydrocarbon major BG Group Plc. During his tenure, GGCL was rated as one amongst 13 Best Managed Companies of India in a independent survey conducted by A T Kearney consulting firm and instituted by Microsoft India. He spent major part of his career with SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (Currently part of Glaxo Smithkline) as Finance Director of India and Country Head of Bangladesh.

Bimal Dayal
Chief Operating Officer, Indus Towers

Mr. Bimal Dayal is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Indus Towers since February 2010. He holds a double bachelor’s degree – one in Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Delhi College of Engineering, and the other in Law from Faculty of Law, Delhi University.

Mr. Dayal has worked with prestigious organizations like Ericsson in Sweden & Sri Lanka overseeing the entire range of ’Manage & Operate’ functions, including planning, O&M, Rollout/ Deployment and Network Assurance. He has worked with global operators like BT Global in Maxis, Hutchison & Telenor. In Sri Lanka, as Country Manager and Managing Director of Ericsson Telecommunications Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, he successfully steered the company to become the country’s number one player in telecom infrastructure. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Dayal was with Qualcomm India & South Asia as Country Manager and Vice President - Business Development.

Amish Mehta
Chief Financial Officer, Indus Towers

Mr. Amish Mehta is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Indus Towers since November 2010. Amish is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, from University of Bombay. Amish brings with him over 18 years of rich and diverse finance and business experience. Prior to this, he was Director Finance at BP / Castrol India Ltd (CIL) for 5 of the 8 years that he was with them. As a member of the Board and executive leadership team at Castrol, Amish partnered the CEO in building a long term strategy to become the preferred partner for all stakeholders, and to provide sustainable growth. Previously, Amish has worked with Ernst & Young India Pvt. Ltd., ExxonMobil India Pvt. Ltd., Securex and Citibank.

Sameer Sinha
Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Indus Towers

Mr. Sameer Sinha is CSMO (Chief Sales and Marketing Officer) at Indus Towers since September 2009. He is part of the Management Committee and directly responsible for Sales, Business Development, Marketing & Branding and Collections in his current role at Indus. Prior to Indus, he has worked with world’s leading technology provider – Ericsson for more than 12 years in Sales and Business Management, and was based in India and Sweden. During his tenure at Ericsson he worked with almost all operators in India and Asia-Pacific and helped build their businesses. He has been associated with the Indian telecom industry since its privatization in 1995. An Electronics Engineer and a management graduate from University of Rajasthan, he has previously also worked with HCL and Dun & Bradstreet.

Rajinder Kumar
Chief of Legal & Company Secretary, Indus Towers

Mr. Rajinder Kumar is the Chief of Legal, Corporate Laws and Company Secretary (CLCS) of Indus Towers since August 2008. His academic qualifications include B.Com. (Hons), LLB, FCS, DLL and an MBA. Mr. Kumar has valuable experience in successfully managing entire legal functions, including litigation, compliances and corporate affairs / laws and major contract negotiations in telecom, ITES, manufacturing and service sectors. He has dealt with joint ventures and foreign collaborations, mergers and amalgamations, restructuring of companies, IPOs, corporate governance and related matters in Indian as well as multinational companies from Japan, Korea, USA, UK and other European jurisdictions. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Kumar was working with Exl-Service, a US based company as Vice President-Legal and Company Secretary.

Vinod Rao
Chief of Internal Audit, Indus Towers

Mr. Vinod Rao is the Chief of Internal Audit of Indus Towers since December 2010. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Pune University, Vinod qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Cost and Works Accountant from India and Certified Public Accountant (USA). He is also a qualified Certified Information Systems Auditor. Vinod brings with him 15 years of experience in Internal Audit. Most recently, he was with BP Lubricants as GM-Financial Controls for BP’s Lubricants SPU at the global level, supporting the Internal Control team on key initiatives such as the scope and preparation of country Audit Review plans. He was also one of the key persons responsible for tracking Fraud and Misconduct in the Lubricants SPU. Previously, Vinod was Head – Internal Audit at Castrol India, a subsidiary of BP, reporting to the Chair of the Audit Committee and to the Managing Director, India. Earlier, he spent 8 years at KPMG in Bahrain and India. Vinod started his career with Asea Brown Boveri.

Chief Information Officer, Indus Towers

Mr. Chakrapani Perangur has been the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Indus Towers since February 2010. His educational qualifications include a Masters in Electronics along with a post graduate program in computers. Mr. Perangur was recently recognized by Data Quest as the “Power CIO 2009”. He is associated with various CIO and CTO organizations, both in India and abroad. He has been with prestigious organizations such as Airtel as CIO South, Tata Cellular, Hyderabad and Birla AT&T, Delhi, (currently Idea AP and Delhi). Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Perangur worked with Tata Sky as CIO.

Ms. Shachidevi TK is CTO (Chief Technology Officer) in Indus Towers. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from BMS College of Engineering Bangalore and has done M.Tech in Power Systems from IIT, Kharagpur. Shachi has over 26 years of experience and has worked with Emerson Network Power, Cummins, GE Power Controls and Kirloskar Electric.

Vivek Kumar is the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) for Indus Towers Limited.

Vivek has over 25 years of HR specific experience across various industries in both public and private sector. He has specialized in the field of Talent Acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, strategic HR planning, employer branding and diversity management. Most recently, he was associated with Aegis Limited as Senior Vice President: Head HR, Sri Lanka & India. His role focused on providing leadership to corporate team members and HR professionals in various centers for executing strategic initiatives like Employer Branding through a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP), institutionalizing diversity framework, optimization of people costs, etc.  Additionally, he was also responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Previously, Vivek has worked with Tata Consultancy Services where he led HR function for employees located in various TCS offices in NCR. He was also associated with Cadilla Pharmaceuticals and Calcom Electronics Limited. He started his career with ONGC as an Industrial Engineer and progressed into Human Resource Management.

An Electrical Engineer from Institute of Technology, BHU, Vivek has completed his M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He did a MBA in Human Resource Management from IGNOU.
